Travel

As there's no reliable fast-travel in Enchiron, how long it takes to cross the country depends sorely on money, position, and location.

• On foot, traveling from the coast of Eniya to the coast of Kimarel straight across Enchiron, it might take 8-10 months, depending on how you're getting around or through the Coronus mountains.
• If you're riding in a horse-drawn caravan (or using a mount of similar skill), it takes half the time. This is the most common form of travel. If your horse isn't hauling anything, then that number drops to about 3 months.
• There are a few species of megafauna that are more difficult to procure that can cover distance faster, in 1-2 months.
• A tamed gryphon or dragon--species that can fly--can cross the continent in maybe a week, depending how hard you push it.
• A flighted caelian--depending on the type of wings and tail feathers they have and their level of fitness--could take anywhere from a month to three.

Because travel is slower, a really generous guest culture has formed all across Enchiron. Guests are usually staying for at least a week, sometimes months.
