A short catalogue of various materials found within Enchiron, where they're found, and their use. Organized alphabetically. == Minerals == Gems, crystals, and stones. === Floatstone === A very common stone found in large deposits all throughout Enchiron. When broken free from its vein, it floats to the sky rather than fall to the earth, making mining a tricky endeavor. Used for many things across industries, from construction to novelty childrens' toys. No one knows exactly how high lost floatstone goes. === Lumenstone === A moderately plentiful, semitranslucent crystal found primarily within the Coronus mountains and in smaller veins on the left side of the continent. Comes in a variety of pale, pastel colors, with white and orange being the most common and blue and purple being the rarest. When left in the sun, it emits a soft glow when brought into the dark. The most popular form of lighting in Coronus. === Nevermelt Ice === A faintly blue, clear crystal that grows in flat sheets beneath dense layers of ice, often with small liquid inclusions. Primarily found in the Frost Fields and Frozen Wastes, it's extremely valuable in the Eniyan deserts and Sayil for staying frozen for long periods even when exposed to the hot climate. A single piece of nevermelt ice will stay cold for a period of time relative to its size: a pebble may only last a couple months, but a five-foot slab will last years. Predictably, it's used primarily for refrigeration.
