== Natural Magic == [[Caelians]], [[ignii]], and [[ianthina]] all have some natural capacity for a specific type of magic. Caelians can perform light magic, which lets them summon small balls or shapes of light. They can change the shape of their light at will, or cause objects to emit light. The stability, brightness, and duration of this light is determined by number and quality of their halos. Ignii can perform fire magic, where they can summon small fireballs--typically fist size, though for some that maximum size may be smaller or bigger--or light things aflame. Ianthina can perform ice magic, which allows them to melt or freeze liquid surfaces. It's also theorized their ice magic contributes to their ability to withstand the northern cold. Among these three, the consistent trend is that natural magic is never overly powerful: it is always small in scale. [[Theriads]] show an affinity for animals. Many find horse taming or dog training comes easily to them, and there are many cases of theriads bonding to creatures who otherwise tend to be shy or aggressive, but whether this affinity is magical or learned via their culture is a matter of debate.
