== Tenets == Members of the Congregation have a faith that cruxes on the idea “from she have we come, and to her we shall return”. Similar to the [[The Heart-in-Hand|Heart's Followers]], they believe in the reincarnation cycle. According to them, the Mother creates and releases the souls into the cycle and accepts them back when it’s over. That’s what the Void Mother’s cult focuses on most: the supposed end to the reincarnation cycle. They believe that, when a soul has passed through the reincarnation cycle enough times, it loses its ability to retain an identity, and that's when it's allowed to return to the Mother. Thus, that's what the Congregation's members aspire to: total annihilation of the self. The Void Mother’s cult places heavy emphasis on meditation, the loss of individuality, the unification of all past identities, and the destruction of the self. Intense adherents are known to cover their entire bodies in monochromatic cloth, including the face; take on new names; and shift to ascetic lifestyles.
